
Cape Town (South Africa), August 13, 2025 (SPS) - The Sahrawi state is participating in the African Water Summit from August 13 to 15, which is being held this week at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The Sahrawi Republic is represented by a high-level delegation that includes Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs; Adda Brahim Ahmim, member of the National Secretariat and Minister of Water and Environment; Lamine Baali, Permanent Representative to the African Union; and Saleh Brahim, a senior official at the Ministry of Water and Environment.
The summit, organized by the African Union in partnership with the African Investment Initiative, focuses on the future of investment in the continent's water sector. High-level delegations from various African countries are participating, along with representatives from regional and international organizations and regional and international development partners. The goal is to place water at the forefront of the continent's development and economic agendas.
