Boumerdès, August 11, 2025 (SPS) – As part of the activities of the Polisario Front’s Summer University for Executives, Mr. Khatri Adouh, a member of the National Secretariat, Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to Algeria, delivered a lecture today, Monday, titled "The Experience of the National State Over Half a Century of Resilience." In his address, he reviewed the journey of building the Sahrawi state from its founding moments, through the various challenges it faced—including the chaotic Spanish withdrawal, partition conspiracies, the war of extermination, the military invasion, and the accompanying massacres against the defenseless Sahrawi people.

The ambassador highlighted the stages of the Sahrawi Republic’s establishment following the declaration of national unity, the formation of the Provisional Sahrawi National Council, and the creation of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army to confront the military invasion.

The National Secretariat member also examined the Polisario Front’s and the Sahrawi state’s experience in balancing liberation struggles with institutional construction over five decades of resistance and struggle.

The Sahrawi diplomat affirmed that the Sahrawi people have accumulated extensive experience through every phase of its struggle.

During his intervention, the ambassador paused at the milestone of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic on February 27, 1976, recalling the circumstances of its birth amid escalating threats and conspiracies, including attempts to create a so-called "Third Force" to obstruct the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination.

He also noted that the Sahrawi people’s demand has always been full and unconditional independence and sovereignty over the entirety of its national territory, despite the ongoing Moroccan occupation and its military presence in Western Sahara.

The speaker emphasized that the experience of the Sahrawi national state is the fruit of immense sacrifices and steadfast resilience, despite the difficult circumstances and the political, military, and diplomatic battles that the Republic continues to wage on all fronts to achieve its ultimate goal: freedom and independence.
