Shaheed El-Hafed, July 30, 2025 (SPS) – The Minister of Education and Vocational Training, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, chaired Wednesday a meeting dedicated to discussing the development of the education system.
The meeting, which brought together national stakeholders and international partners (including organizations operating in refugee camps), emphasized the ministry’s commitment to intensifying efforts to achieve a high-quality and advanced education system that keeps pace with rapid developments and fulfills the aspirations of the Sahrawi people.
The member of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat and head of the Social Committee stressed the need to invest in human resources as the backbone of sectoral development and the guarantee of quality education.
During the meeting, a series of assessments prepared by both the Ministry of Education and the Education Coordination Committee, chaired by UNICEF, were reviewed. Discussions highlighted the significant efforts made in the sector and identified obstacles that must be overcome in collaboration with partners—particularly those related to infrastructure and facilities—to ensure favorable conditions for student learning.
