Wilaya of Dakhla (Refugee Camps), June 27, 2025 (SPS) – In light of the serious deterioration in the health condition of Sahrawi civilian prisoner Brahim Ismaili, one of the prisoners of the Gdeim Izik group, who is imprisoned in the jails of the occupying Moroccan state under an unjust life sentence, the Regional Branch and the Popular Council of the Wilaya of Dakhla—given that this prisoner is under the sponsorship of the wilaya of Dakhla, specifically the Daira of Agrifiya—declare to national and international public opinion the following:

- Our absolute and unconditional solidarity with Sahrawi civilian prisoner Brahim Ismaili and all his fellow prisoners in the jails of the Moroccan occupation.

- Strong condemnation of the deliberate medical neglect, mistreatment, and deteriorating detention conditions faced by the prisoner, which constitute a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and all international human rights covenants and conventions.

- Holding of the occupying Moroccan state fully responsible for any physical or psychological harm inflicted upon the prisoner as a result of this systematic neglect.

- Urgent demand to the international community, particularly the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and international human rights and humanitarian organizations, to intervene immediately to save the life of this prisoner and ensure his fundamental rights, foremost among them medical treatment and healthcare.

- Call to expand solidarity with all Sahrawi civilian prisoners in the jails of the occupation and to support their legitimate struggle for freedom and dignity.
