Wilaya of Boujdour, June 09, 2025 (SPS) – The Political Organization Secretariat commemorated today, Monday, the 49th anniversary of Martyrs' Day in the presence of the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, along with members of the National Secretariat, the government, and officials of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army.
The event began with an address by the Political Commissar of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army, which reviewed the journey of the Sahrawi revolution since the founding of the Polisario Front up to the martyrdom of the pioneer of the May 20th Revolution, the martyr El-Ouali Mustapha Sayed. The speech highlighted his work and ideology, which embodied multiple qualities that made him an exemplary leader and a role model for generations in adhering to principles and values until the liberation of every last inch of land from colonial occupation.
The Political Organization Secretariat then presented the ideas of the martyr El-Ouali Mustapha Sayed on translating national unity into daily practice, as well as the circumstances surrounding the historic Ain Bentili conference, which united the Sahrawi people as one bloc under the Polisario Front to defend their hopes and aspirations.
The event featured excerpts from the speeches of the martyr of freedom and dignity, El-Ouali Mustapha Sayed, and honored several secretaries and commissars from the period between 1970 and 1980.
