
Shaheed El-Hafed, May 25, 2025 (SPS) – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Public Health, Salek Omar, met with the World Health Organization (WHO) Coordinator to discuss enhancing health services.
The meeting focused on reviewing maternal and child health conditions in the refugee camps and exploring ways to strengthen these departments within health facilities. Key data recorded by the Ministry of Health's Information Statistics Division were highlighted to develop a clear roadmap for action.
The Secretary-General and the WHO Coordinator also discussed how to equip and enhance ten health facilities at the local clinic level to monitor epidemiological situations, improve maternal and child healthcare, and raise awareness.
The Secretary-General praised this project, which will bolster the Ministry of Public Health, and stressed the importance of continuous coordination with relevant health authorities to ensure the smooth implementation of these programs and their positive impact on healthcare services.
