Canary Islands, May 18, 2025 (SPS) – The Dean of Tifariti University, Mr. Moulay Emhamed Brahim, was received at the headquarters of the University of La Laguna in the Canary Islands by its Dean, Mr. Francisco García, along with the head of International Relations and the Director of Cooperation at the university.
The Dean of Tifariti University briefed the meeting participants on the history, objectives, and plans of Tifariti University, which strives to fulfill its natural role in higher education under extraordinary circumstances marked by exile and harsh conditions, compounded by the ongoing illegal Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara.
The meeting served as an opportunity to renew prospects for academic cooperation between the two institutions. Additionally, the parties agreed on a roadmap for joint programs in scientific research, academic exchange, and the organization of conferences and academic conferences.
The meeting was attended by Alisalem Sidzin, the Polisario Front representative in the Canary Islands province, Mohamed Saeed Ahneni, from Tifariti University’s International Relations office, Nabila Embarek, Professor of Spanish Language.
