Shaheed El-Hafed, May 11, 2025 (SPS) – A delegation from the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently visiting the Sahrawi refugee camps and state institutions.
The visit comes as part of follow-up efforts on a project linking South Africa and the Sahrawi Red Crescent, focusing on emergency response measures to address the recorded shortages in food basket supplies.
The project ensures the distribution of five essential food items—sugar, lentils, oil, rice, and pasta—for a period of three months.
This visit will also serve as an opportunity to observe firsthand the mechanisms and methods used by the Sahrawi Red Crescent in food distribution. Additionally, it will provide a platform for bilateral planning on potential future projects that might be agreed upon.
