
Occupied El Aaiún, April 12, 2025 (SPS) – Moroccan occupation intelligence services and various repressive forces besieged Friday the homes of families of Sahrawi civilian prisoners from the Gdeim Izik group, in a clear escalation of intimidation tactics.
The targeted families include those of:
Ahmed Sbaai, human rights activist and honorary president of the Sahrawi Prisoners' Protection Association in Moroccan jails.
Hassan Dah, human rights activist, member of the Sahrawi Association for Victims of Grave Violations by the Moroccan State, and journalist.
Abdallah Lkhfaouni, human rights activist and journalist.
Hussein Zawi, Sahrawi civilian prisoner and member of the Gdeim Izik camp dialogue committee.
Mohamed Bashir Boutenguiza, Sahrawi civilian prisoner.
Mohamed Bourial, Sahrawi civilian prisoner and member of the Gdeim Izik camp dialogue committee.
This police siege coincides with the international campaign announced by Brahim Ghali, President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, demanding the immediate and unconditional release of all Sahrawi political detainees.
