
Coimbra (Portugal), March 20, 2025 (SPS) - A delegation from Tifariti University, led by the Director of Higher Education and the Dean of Tifariti University, Mr. Moulay Emhamed Brahim, was received Monday at the university of Coimbra, Portugal, by the Director of the Institute of Social and Human Sciences, Professor Tiago Santos Pereira, and the institute's administration.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the Tifariti University delegation to present an overview of the struggle of the Sahrawi people in general, with a particular focus on the Sahrawi experience in the field of education at all levels. They also highlighted the role of Tifariti University in academic training and development, as well as its advocacy for the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination in international academic spaces and circles.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a cooperation protocol between the two academic institutions, which includes the exchange of expertise in the field of scientific research and the organization of academic conferences and seminars on the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
It is worth noting that the University of Coimbra is the second oldest university in Europe, celebrating this year the 735th anniversary of its founding. It ranks among the top universities in international rankings.
Accompanying the Dean of Tifariti University on this visit is Dr. Abdelrahman Abdelkader, the head of the Scientific Research Center at Tifariti University.
