Shaheed El-Hafed, March 10, 2025 (SPS) - The Minister of Public Health, Mr. Salek Baba Hasana, received an Italian delegation from the Tuscany region, on a working and solidarity visit to the refugee camps and institutions of the Sahrawi State these days.
The Minister welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the general health situation in Sahrawi health facilities, as well as the main challenges facing healthcare work. He also highlighted the role of solidarity medical missions coming from Spain and Italy, alongside the Cuban medical mission at the National Health Complex.
During the meeting, the Minister of Public Health approved the project presented by the Italian association to provide diabetes medications, care for diabetic patients, and raise awareness about medical guidelines for managing diabetes.
