Algiers, February 28, 2025 (SPS) - In the framework of enhancing academic and scientific cooperation, the Director of the University of Algiers 3, Professor Khaled Rouaski, received a delegation from Tifariti University on Thursday. The delegation was led by Mr. Moulay Emhamed Brahim, the Director of Higher Education and Dean of Tifariti University, in the presence of the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy and a number of Sahrawi students.
The meeting, which coincided with the 49th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi State, witnessed the renewal of the cooperation agreement between the two universities. This agreement aims to strengthen academic and scientific exchange in various fields.
The agreement provides for the organization of short scientific visits to enhance joint research activities, cooperation in the field of authorship, promotion of academic and scientific exchange through the training of Tifariti University professors, access to libraries, documentation centers, and research laboratories, organization of conferences and seminars of mutual interest, and enabling Sahrawi students to access digital pedagogical platforms for distance learning.
During this day of solidarity with the Sahrawi cause, the Dean of Tifariti University provided explanations about the history and role of Tifariti University in training, qualification, and academic advocacy for the Sahrawi people and its just cause. He expressed his deep gratitude to Algeria, both the government and the people, for their solidarity and support for the Sahrawi cause.
For his part, the Director of the University of Algiers 3, Professor Khaled Rouaski, expressed the university's readiness to continue supporting and accompanying Tifariti University in various fields of training, exchange of expertise, and scientific research, in line with Algeria's principled and historical stance in supporting the right of peoples to self-determination and independence.
It is worth noting that the University of Algiers 3 hosts a number of Sahrawi students enrolled in various disciplines, reflecting the university's commitment to supporting Sahrawi students and enhancing academic cooperation with Tifariti University.
