Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), 28 February 2025 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out a concentrated bombardment targeting a support and supply base of the Moroccan occupation army in the Guelta sector, "resulting in heavy losses in lives and equipment," according to a military statement issued by the Central Directorate of Political Preservation of the Sahrawi Army.
The statement indicated that, coinciding with the 49th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, advanced units of the Sahrawi Army executed a precise bombardment yesterday, Thursday at dawn, targeting a support corps base belonging to the Royal Moroccan Army in the Tharthiyat area of the Guelta sector.
The Sahrawi Army's attacks continue to target strongholds of the Moroccan occupation forces, inflicting heavy losses in lives and equipment among the ranks of the Moroccan occupation army along the Wall of Shame and Humiliation, the statement added.
