Shaheed El-Hafed, February 20, 2025 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, chaired Thursday a meeting dedicated to the developments in the resistance in the occupied territories and southern Morocco.
The meeting, which included the participation of the Political Organization Secretariat, the Ministry of Occupied Territories Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed the situation resulting from the repression, blockade, and various practices imposed by the Moroccan occupation state against unarmed Sahrawi citizens.
The meeting particularly focused on the situation of Sahrawi civilian prisoners in Moroccan jails and the inhumane practices they endure at the hands of the Moroccan occupation authorities, amid restrictions and denial of their basic rights.
The meeting reiterated the call for the United Nations and relevant international organizations to assume their responsibilities toward these prisoners and their families. It also emphasized the need to continue and intensify the national and international campaign for their release, as well as to support the solidarity convoy with all Sahrawi civilian prisoners in Moroccan jails.
