UGTSARIO Secretary General receives Italian trade union delegation

Shaheed El-Hafed, January 31, 2025 (SPS) - The Secretary General of the General Union of Sahrawi Workers (UGTSARIO), Salama Bashir, received an Italian trade union delegation.

The delegation of workers, representing the Italian General Confederation of Labor (CGIL), is on a several-day working visit to a number of humanitarian projects funded by the Italian trade union in the Sahrawi refugee camps, covering various sectors.

During the meeting, the Secretary General of UGTSARIO welcomed the members of the Italian delegation, praising the role they play in defending the Sahrawi people and their legitimate cause.

As the largest trade union in Italy, CGIL has a historically friendly relationship with the General Union of Sahrawi workers.
