Minister of Foreign Affairs: Foreign Relations Conference is milestone for evaluation and opportunity to elevate Sahrawi diplomacy to achieve its goals

Shaheed El-Hafed, January 3, 2024 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Sidati, affirmed that the annual Foreign Relations Conference represents a milestone for evaluation and an opportunity to elevate Sahrawi diplomacy to achieve the desired objectives.

In a statement to Algeria International Radio on the eve of the annual Foreign Relations Conference, Sidati indicated that the Sahrawi diplomatic work and its challenges will be assessed in light of the new year 2025, considering the presentations from Sahrawi missions and representations abroad, and the political and diplomatic momentum the Sahrawi cause is gaining in today's changing world.

He added that the Conference will discuss major themes, including developments in the Sahrawi cause at both regional and international levels, recorded positions supporting the just struggle of the Sahrawi people, advocacy efforts, as well as the outcomes of the legal battle and its implications, the human rights situation, and the Moroccan occupation's attempts to undermine the Sahrawi people's struggle and legitimacy with the support of forces trying to undermine international law and legitimacy.

The Conference, lasting three days from January 4 to 6, is an important occasion to review the achievements of Sahrawi diplomacy over the past year and to outline future plans and goals.
