The Regional Festival for Culture and Popular Arts, which coincides with the International Music Festival, provides an opportunity to showcase the diversity of culture and heritage that characterizes the Sahrawi people.
The festival highlights the cultural and heritage aspects of the Sahrawi people through a traditional display consisting of a series of tents showcasing various artistic and cultural expressions, including traditional foods and crafts.Wilaya of El Aaiún, December 4, 2024 (SPS) - The Regional Festival for Culture and Popular Arts was inaugurated today, Wednesday, in the Wilaya of El Aaiún.
The festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the authorities of the Wilaya of El Aaiún, with the presence of the President of the National Council, member of the National Secretariat, Hamma Salama, who inaugurated the event alongside members of the National Secretariat, the government, and a large crowd from the Wilaya.
In a statement to SPS, Minister of Culture Moussa Salma highlighted that the cultural festival is an occasion to showcase Sahrawi uniqueness and to explore the Sahrawi cultural heritage through the folkloric displays included in the festival.
