Occupied El-Aaiun, November 20, 2024 (SPS) - Moroccan occupation forces, in civilian clothing, are currently besieging the home of Sahrawi journalist and human rights defender Mohamed Heiba Mayara, the coordinator of Equipe Media.
This follows an assault on him yesterday morning by agents affiliated with the Moroccan authorities, according to the Equipe Media website.
The Equipe Media team has called on international organizations to urgently intervene to lift the siege on their colleague Mohamed Miara, holding the occupying authorities accountable for the harassment and violation of the rights of Sahrawis in the occupied territories.
They also emphasize that the occupying forces bear full responsibility for the life and physical safety of their colleague Mohamed Heiba Mayara.
