Algiers, October 19, 2024 (SPS) – The Algerian Social Democratic Forces Union Party, led by its Secretary-General Mr. Abdel Rahman Saleh, renewed its support and solidarity with the Sahrawi people and their just struggle, during a political seminar organized by the party at its headquarters in Algiers.
The seminar, which was held under the slogan "The European Court of Justice's decision, a victory for the Sahrawi people", was attended by a significant number of party leaders and cadres, and was moderated by the member of the National Secretariat, ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar.
The ambassador reviewed in his speech the European Court of Justice's decision and its various dimensions, considering it a political and diplomatic setback for the Makhzen regime and its allies, stressing that this decision has destroyed all the propaganda and arguments promoted by Morocco since its invasion of Western Sahara in 1975, and a painful blow to its alliances and the positions of some European countries that support it and encourage it to continue the occupation, expansion and plunder of wealth, in order to guarantee their interests.
Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar added that this victory is a new addition to the gains achieved by the Sahrawi people, and that it is a European judicial decision that complements a number of other related European decisions, explaining that the European Court of Justice with this decision, has dotted the i's and crossed the t's, and left no ambiguity or interpretation, as it is a judicial ruling confirming that sovereignty belongs to the Sahrawi people and that its sole legitimate representative is the Polisario Front.
The National Bureau of the Algerian Union of Social Democratic Forces Party has decided to make 2025 the year of Western Sahara by programming a series of solidarity activities with the Sahrawi people and their just cause.
