Liverpool (UK), September 25, 2024 (SPS) - The representative of the Polisario Front in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Mr. Sidi Breika, participated in the first annual conference after its overwhelming victory in the parliamentary elections last July, at an official invitation from the party's central office, alongside more than fifty progressive parties and organizations.
The conference, which took place from September 22 to 25, 2024 in the city of Liverpool, was an opportunity for the Sahrawi delegation to hold several meetings with participating delegations from different continents, as well as with parliamentarians, organizations affiliated with the party, trade unions, and other participants.
It is worth mentioning that the Polisario Front has brotherly and friendly relations with the British Labor Party since the 1980s, as part of the fraternal and friendly parties. The presence of the Polisario delegation at the first conference after the Labor Party's victory in the general elections is a clear indication of the party's steadfast position towards the ongoing conflict in Western Sahara, which is based on respecting the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination as the basis for any solution to the conflict in Western Sahara.
