Shaheed Al-Hafed, May 21, 2024 (SPS) - The Diplomatic Forum for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People held its fifth regular session today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was attended, in addition to ambassadors of friendly countries to the Sahrawi Republic, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Sidati, and Ambassador to Algeria, Member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, Minister of Information, Mr. Hamada Salma, and executives from the Sahrawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The fifth ordinary session, which is hosted by the Sahrawi people, will study the current international situation and address developments in the Sahrawi issue.
The session will be an opportunity to evaluate the work program issued by the fourth ordinary session and the efforts made by the Diplomatic Forum in sensitive fields related to the Sahrawi issue, including the occupied territories, the legal battle, and others issues.
The delegation, which represents the Diplomatic Forum for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, and which includes ambassadors of countries that have diplomatic and historical relations with the Sahrawi Republic, arrived last Sunday in the Sahrawi refugee camps, to share the Sahrawi people the celebrations commemorating the 51st anniversary of the outbreak of the armed struggle, and the National Army Day. The delegation also led inspection visits to Sahrawi institutions and held meetings with Sahrawi officials.
It’s worth mentioning that the ambassadors of Cuba and Nicaragua presented their credentials to the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, as ambassadors of their countries to the Sahrawi Republic.
