Wilaya of Boujdour, May 20, 2024 (SPS) - The Ministry of National Defense celebrated today, Monday, the National Army Day, in the presence of the President of the Republic, the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Mr. Brahim Ghali, and members of the National Secretariat and the Government, the General Staff of the Army, fighters of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army from various military regions and formations, as well as senior officials in the Sahrawi State and the Polisario Front.
The event, which was held under the theme "Firmness and Determination until Victory is Achieved," began with a speech by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, Mr. Mohamed Lamin Mohamed Ahmed, who congratulated the Sahrawi Army on its National Day, reaffirming the determination of the Sahrawi military leadership and the People's Army to continue the armed struggle until the achievement of independence.
The event also witnessed the screening of a documentary film on the stages of the liberation war and the victories achieved by the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army on the ground.
The event concluded with the official speech of the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali.
