Wilaya of Smara, February 27, 2024 (SPS) - The wilaya of Smara is hosting today, Tuesday, the celebrations commemorating the 48th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
The event will witness folklore performances, regional cultural festival, traditional tent gathering, cultural exhibition, seminar on the importance of documentation and preserving memory, presentation of three new books by Sahrawi writers, and national competition for traditional jewelry and costumes. International and national delegations from various Sahrawi entities will be present.
The event coincides with the international sports event "Sahara Marathon," with the participation of Sahrawi and foreign athletes representing more than twenty nationalities from different countries around the world.
