Algeria, February 8, 2024 (SPS) - The member of the National Secretariat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Sidati, was received on Thursday, by the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and community abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, according to what was reported by the Algerian News Agency (APS).
The two sides reviewed developments related to the Western Sahara issue at the diplomatic level, and renewed their support for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, and his personal envoy, Staffan de Mistura, for their efforts aimed at reviving the political process to settle the conflict in Western Sahara on the basis of the Sahrawi people’s exercise of their inalienable and imprescriptible right to Self-determination, in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the General Assembly and the UN Security Council.
The meeting was attended by the Sahrawi Ambassador to Algeria and a member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar.
