Sahrawi Ambassador in Ecuador received by First Vice-President of Ecuadorian National Assembly

Quito (Ecuador), 17 January 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Ambassador to Ecuador, Mr. Ahmedouha Mohamed Ahmed Zain, was received by the First Vice-President of the Ecuadorian National Assembly, Viviana Veloz. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between Ecuador and the Sahrawi Republic, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in November of last year.

The Sahrawi Ambassador extended an invitation from the President of the National Council of the Sahrawi Republic, Mr. Hama Salama, to the First Vice-President of the Ecuadorian National Assembly to visit the institutions of the Sahrawi State and learn firsthand about the struggle and resilience of the Sahrawi people.

On this occasion, the Sahrawi Ambassador conveyed the wishes of the Sahrawi people and their government to the First Vice-President of the Ecuadorian Parliament for success in her legislative duties, which will benefit and prosper the people of Ecuador.

The Sahrawi Ambassador was accompanied the Deputy and member of the International Association of Lawyers for Western Sahara, Mr. Virgilio Hernández, the Sahrawi diplomat Hafdela Shaddad Brahim, in addition to members of the Ecuadorian Association for Friendship with the Sahrawi People.
