Basque Country (Spain), 14 January 2024 (SPS) - A delegation of the Sahrawi National Council led by Mr. Dih Mohamed Nousha and comprising Ms. Nahbouha Mahmoud participated in the meeting of the joint parliamentary groups in solidarity with the Sahrawi people, representing various legislative councils of the Spanish provinces, held at the headquarters of the Basque Parliament.
The meeting was attended by the representative of the Polisario Front in Spain, Mr. Abdullah Al-Arabi, along with representatives of national and Spanish personalities, as well as representatives from various Spanish media outlets.
The meeting was an opportunity for the Spanish parliamentary groups to reaffirm their permanent support for the struggle of the Sahrawi people and defend its legitimate rights until they achieve freedom and independence.
The meeting also discussed ways to revive solidarity work at various levels, promote cooperation and joint work, and address human rights violations in the occupied Western Sahara.
During the meeting, the participants listened to a message sent by member of the National Secretariat and President of the National Council, Mr. Hame Salama, in which he praised the great solidarity work of the Spanish parliamentary councils with the just Sahrawi cause, emphasizing in the same context the permanent readiness to participate in various solidarity activities and events and enhance joint work and constructive cooperation between the Sahrawi National Council and the various legislative councils of the Spanish provinces.
