Graz (Austria), November 12, 2023 (SPS) - At the invitation of the Austrian Social Democratic Party, a Sahrawi delegation led by Mr. Omar Mansour, member of the National Secretariat and Ambassador in charge of Europe and European institutions, accompanied by Najat Handi and Mohammed Slama Badi, representatives of the Front in Germany and Austria respectively, participated in the events of the Austrian Socialist Conference held in the city of Graz on November 11 - 12.
The conference provided an opportunity to meet and talks with the party's leadership and members, and to inform them about the developments in the Sahrawi issue and the prospects for future cooperation between the Polisario Front and the Austrian Social Democratic Party.
The two-day conference resulted in the emergence of a new leadership and the adoption of a party program in its broad outlines, which will be the focus of competition in the upcoming legislative elections.
It is worth mentioning that the Polisario Front was the only international party invited to participate in the Austrian Socialist Party conference, which is a symbolic gesture that confirms the depth of the links and the strength of the historical relationship between the two political organizations.
It should be noted that the Sahrawi delegation had participated in the Socialist Women seminar held on November 10, 2023, in Graz, a day before the start of the Austrian Socialist Party conference.
