Luanda (Angola), November 01, 2023 (SPS) - The Angolan President, Mr. Manuel João Lourenço, received yesterday Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Minister Counselor in charge of Diplomatic Affairs and Personal Envoy of the President of the Republic and the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, at the Republican Palace in the Angolan capital Luanda.
During the meeting, important topics were discussed, such as bilateral relations, the African agenda, and the latest developments in the Sahrawi issue.
It should be noted that the Sahrawi Republic and the Republic of Angola have maintained strong, historical political and diplomatic relations based on mutual solidarity since the era of the liberation struggle in the two countries against Spanish and Portuguese colonialism.
The Minister Counselor in Charge of Diplomatic Affairs was accompanied by Mr. Hamdi Al-Khalil Meyara, Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to the Republic of Angola.
On the Angolan side, Mr. Tete António, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Victor Lima, Advisor to the Angolan Presidency, attended the meeting.
