Shahid al-Hafed, November 01, 2023 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received yesterday the President of the Spanish Coordination of Associations in Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, Mr. Carmelo Ramirez, who is leading a visit to Sahrawi refugee camps.
President Brahim Ghali expressed, during the meeting that took place in the presence of the Representative of the Polisario Front in Spain, Mr. Abdullah Arabi, the gratitude of the Sahrawi people for the positions of solidarity and support that the Spanish Coordination of Friendship and Solidarity Associations has been offering to the Sahrawi people and their just cause.
The President of the Republic briefed his guest, Mr. Carmelo Ramirez, who was accompanied by his assistance, on the developments of the national issue and the gains achieved by the Sahrawi people at the national and international levels, stressing that the Sahrawi people will continue their struggle until achieving their national goals for which they made great sacrifices, namely freedom and independence, especially in this period characterized by direct confrontation with the Moroccan occupation.
For his part, the President of the Spanish Coordination of Associations in solidarity with the Sahrawi people expressed his happiness for this visit, which enabled him to visit many institutions and facilities, praising the significant efforts made by the Sahrawi state in various sectors.
He also stressed the accompaniment of the Spanish Coordination of the Solidarity Associations to the just Sahrawi cause and that he will convey it to the world, noting that the visit reflects the level of solidarity and synergy with the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
Mr. Carmelo Ramirez led a visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps to learn about the reality of the Sahrawi people and the functioning of state institutions and the Polisario Front, and he observed the progress of work in some national institutions, including the National Directorate of Equipment and the Sahrawi Red Crescent Foundation. He also had meetings with Sahrawi officials, including a meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr. Boushraya Hamoudi Beayoun.
