Preparatory conferences for 13th Congress launch at wilayas and institution of SADR

Shaheed Al Hafed (refugee camps), Nov 19, 2011 (SPS) - The political preparatory conferences for the Polisario 13th Congress launched Saturday morning in all constituencies at the wilayas and institutions of the Saharawi Republic.

Members of the Preparatory Committee have supervised the political conferences at every constituency in Shaheed Al Hafed, the 4 wilayas and schools of October 12 and February 27. They are also expected to launch Sunday in all regions of the Saharawi People’s Liberation Army, according to the Agenda of organizing committee.

In Shaheed Al Hafed, the conference chaired by Mr. Mohamed Tohami, Mr. Mohamed Moulud Mohamed Fadel, secretary of state for youth and sport, Mr. Mohamed Salem Abdalwahab, secretary general of the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.

Mr. Mohamed Tohami reviewed the programme of action and the regional and international circumstance in which the congress conferences are being held, stressing that the forthcoming Congress “should be a panel to recommend the work and opinion of the people.”

In his intervention, Secretary of State for Youth and Sport called on the Saharawis for the contribution to succeed the Congress through project of the national action’s programme.

The Conference presidency distributed the institutions of SADR to a number of committees including the evaluation project, status quo, programme of national action, basic law and criticizing the experience, Intifada and occupied territories as well as legal regulation ruling the elections.

It worth noting that the work of the committees, debate and preparing the reports will be presented Sunday before the holding of the local conference.

The participants of the 13th Polisario Congress are: delegates and elected from both sexes, members of the National Secretariat and government, ambassadors, local political officials, members of the General Staff of the Saharawi People's Liberation Army, delegates elected from every military region, representatives of mass and student organizations, heads of the municipalities, delegates representing the Saharawi community abroad and occupied territories.
