London, Nov 8, 2012 (SPS) – A demonstration organized by representatives of the Polisario Front, was held Thursday at the headquarters of the Embassy of Morocco in London to mark the celebration of the second anniversary of the dismantling of Gdeim Izik.

Several British associations, supporting the Saharawi cause, like Western Sahara Campaign UK students and supporters of the Saharawi cause, reported the Algerian News Agency (APS)

Activists supporting the Saharawi cause and human right were raising Saharawi flags and banners that read: " Morocco get out , Morocco assassin", "Stop Torture" and "free Sahara."

"Great Britain, the country of human rights by continuing excellence, like other Western countries, deal economically with Morocco, while the country is constantly interrogated on the issue of violations of rights  in Western Sahara" the President of the Western Sahara Campaig, Ken Ritchie, told APS.

"The British Parliament should look at what is happening in Western Sahara and condemn violence as it does when it comes to the Syrian issue," he said.

Morocco does not take seriously the UN resolution on self-determination of the Saharawi people, while the referendum is the only viable way for the final settlement this conflict, "he added.

"Morocco knows that it must negotiate with the Polisario Front for self-determination of the Saharawi people and the sooner the better because more pressure increases the occupant,"   Mr. Ritchie stated.

The Deputy Representative of the Frente  Poliario in  UK, Sidi Brahim Breika, said that 42 Saharawi political prisoners are  currently detained in Moroccan jails awaiting trial. These Sahrawis suffer daily torture in territory under the responsibility of the UN.

The dismantling of Gdeim Izik is a perfect illustration of the violence and the methods used by the Moroccan authorities to suppress a peaceful demonstration, he added, saying that there is a clear desire from Morocco harm to those who took initiative to demonstrate to express their desire for self-determination.
