New web portal to publicize Saharawi cause in Russian language launched

Moscow, May 5, 2013 (SPS) - In the context of the celebrations commemorating the 40th anniversary of the POLISARIO Front and in order to break the media blackout imposed on the struggle of Saharawi people, POLISARIO Representation in Russia launched a new web portal in Russian language to publicize the Saharawi cause.


The new website will provide the Russian public opinion and Russian-language speakers with information about the history of Western Sahara, the struggle of its people, history and the roots of the conflict, peace process, life in the Saharawi refugee camps and liberated territories, the situation in occupied territories, in addition to what Russian media writes about the Saharawi cause.


The website’s users will sooner be able to see the United Nations resolutions on Western Sahara in the Russian language, reports of international organizations on the Moroccan human rights violations in occupied Western Sahara, documentaries about the conflict and announcements of seminars, conferences and festivals such as; ARTifariti, Fisahara, EUCOCO and others.


The new web portal is made by POLISARIO Representation in Russia, Saharawi Press Service (SPS) and the Russian Foundation “NIKKOLO M”.
