New York (United Nations) Sept 29, 2015 (SPS) – the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. MUHAMMADDU BUHARI, on Monday said before the UN General Assembly that the principles that led to the foundation of the United Nations must now be assured and fulfilled without any further delay or obstacle.

In his speech before the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, underway in New York, MUHAMMADDU BUHARI underlined that we need to remind ourselves of the principles that led to the foundation of the United Nations. Among those principles are peaceful coexistence and self-determination of peoples.

The Nigerian president went on saying that the unresolved question of self-determination for the people of Palestine and the people of Western Sahara, both nations having been adjusted by the United Nations as qualifying for this inalienable right, must now be assured and fulfilled without any further delay or obstacle.
