President of Republic congratulates Mexican counterpart on Independence Day

Bir Lehlou, 16 September 2023 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, congratulated his Mexican counterpart, Mr. Andrés Manuel López Obrador, on the occasion of the 213th anniversary of Mexico's independence.

The President of the Republic expressed his congratulations to the Mexican President on behalf of the people and government of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, to the government and people of Mexico.

The President took this opportunity to emphasize the depth of cooperation between the Sahrawi Republic and the United Mexican States, expressing readiness to continue and enhance the friendship between the two peoples.

Mr. Brahim Ghali appreciated Mexico's consistent position in defense of peace and global justice, particularly regarding the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and full independence.

For his part, Mr. Mohamed Sidati, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Minister of Foreign Affairs, sent a congratulatory message on this occasion to the Mexican Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Alicia Barcena Ibarra.
