Sahrawi children received by Mayoress of Valencia

Valencia (Spain), 31 July 2023 (SPS) - The Mayoress of Valencia, Ms. María José Catalá, reaffirmed Monday the firm commitment to supporting the Sahrawi cause, during her reception of Sahrawi children spending summer vacations as part of the Peace Holidays program, supervised by the Sahrawi regional office in cooperation with the associations of friendship and solidarity with the Sahrawi people.

The Mayoress stressed the solidarity role of Valencia and thanked the families who, summer after summer, welcome Sahrawi children from the refugee camps and helping them and ensuring them good and safe stay, encouraging all the families to participate in the program.

97 Sahrawi children spend the summer holidays in the province of Valencia, where the concerned authorities aim to improve the health status of children by conducting medical examinations and detecting sick cases, in addition to ensuring balanced diets during the stay.
