Sahrawi, South African meeting on prospects of cooperation

Shahid Al Hafed (Refugee Camps), 20 August 2022 (SPS) - Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Minister of Education and Vocation Training, Mr Mrabih Mami Dai, received Friday in Shahid Al Hafed, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Africa to the Sahrawi Republic, Mr. Lesedi Billy Msetlha, on the eve of his formal presentation of his credentials to the Sahrawi Republic. 
The meeting, which was attended alongside the Minister by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Mustafa Mohamed Fadel, and Counsel in charge of African Union Affairs, Mr. Hamdi Salek, discussed the values of the common struggle history and the distinguished bilateral relations that unite the two countries and ways to strengthen and promote cooperation in the fields of education and vocational training, as well as continuing the work and construction of the Nelson Mandela School.

The parties agreed to examine all common issues, establish an expert committee to follow up on the school building project, provide the necessary consultations and intensify bilateral meetings.

The South African delegation made a symbolic contribution to the Soweto Victims School in the wilaya of Awsard, which commemorates the Soweto massacres committed by the apartheid regime in South Africa.
