Bir Lahlou, 11 November 2021 (SPS) -The President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Brahim Ghali, has affirmed that the current stage requires the development of military and combat capabilities of Sahrawi army executives and leaders.
“The development of military and combat capabilities can only be achieved on the ground,” said Mr. Ghali, who supervised the graduation ceremony of executives of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA), recalling that “the senior officers will put the acquired combat capabilities into practice on the ground, especially with the resumption of the war against the Moroccan occupier.
Mr. Ghali praised the qualities and assets of the graduating batch, considering it “a reference in terms of mastery of combat techniques. The batch brings together executives with long military career rich in achievements, he said, adding that despite the difficulties, these executives have made achievements that will remain engraved in the history of the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
“The graduation of this batch will strengthen the Sahrawi army units with field commanders capable of assuming responsibilities and experienced in planning and tactics,” he said.
President Ghali on Thursday supervised the graduation ceremony of a batch of SPLA executives named after “martyr Ahmatou Bhaha Abrika”.
