Morocco, Zionist entity sign first security agreement

Submitted on

Rabat, 25 November 2021 (SPS) - The Makhzen regime and the Zionist entity concluded Wednesday a framework agreement aimed at “strengthening the security cooperation between the Moroccan and Israeli intelligence services,” nearly one year after the normalization of their relations, amidst broad popular disagreement.
The agreement was signed in a visit to Rabat by Israeli Minister of Defense Benny Gantz, received early in the morning by Morocco’s Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the National Defense Administration Abdellatif Loudiyi.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding which launches officially the security cooperation “in all its aspects” (operational planning, procurement, research and development, ….) between Morocco and the Zionist entity, according to media close to the Moroccan military circles.
The Zionist entity and the Moroccan Makhzen normalized their relations in December 2020 as part of the “Abraham Agreements,” in exchange for recognition by the former American president Donald Trump of Morocco’s alleged “sovereignty” over Western Sahara.
