Sahrawi activist Soltana Khaya more than ever committed to struggle

Brussels, Feb 15, 2021 (SPS) -  -The Sahrawi human rights activist Soltana Sid Ibrahim Khaya, seriously injured in the face and eye following a barbaric attack by the Moroccan police, is more than ever willing to continue the struggle, said Sundaye member of the National Secretariat of the frente POLISARIO in charge of Europe and the European Union (EU) Oubi Bouchraya Bashir.
The Sahrawi official said in a tweet that he spoke with activist Soltana Sid Ibrahim Khaya who told him that this aggression was "the price to pay for the struggle and I knew I had to pay the price. I was prepared for it, still I am, and perhaps even more so now than ever.”
The Sahrawi human rights activist Soltana Sid Ibrahim Khaya "was tired and had a jerky voice, but her will remains intact,” said  Oubi Bouchraya.
A Sahrawi human rights source said Saturday that the Sahrawi human rights activist Soltana Sid Ibrahim Khaya and her sister Ouara Sid Ibrahim Khaya were violated by the Moroccan authorities in the occupied Sahrawi city of Boujdour.
Quoting a Sahrawi human rights source, to (SPS) said Saturday that "the Sahrawi human rights activist Soltana Khaya was seriously injured in the face and eye after being stoned to death by the Moroccan occupation authorities.”
The neighborhood where the family of the Sahrawi human rights activist Soltana Khaya's home is located was severely damaged by the Moroccan authorities.
Sultana Khaya is besieged by intense Moroccan repression aimed at deterring Sahrawi activists from demonstrating peacefully to demand the right to freedom and independence, said the same source.SPS
