A Sahrawi political prisoner on hunger strike suffers medical negligence

El Aaiún (Occupied Zones), Feb 09, 2021 (SPS) - The Sahrawi political prisoner Mohamed Lamín Abidín Haddi continues to suffer the deliberate medical negligence of the Moroccan prison authorities of the local Tifilt 2 prison and threats of danger to his life, after Twenty-seven days of hunger strike, according to sources from the League for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners in Moroccan Prisons.
In this regard, the mother of the Sahrawi prisoner informed the said League that “her son continues with his hunger strike, despite the intimidation and deliberate medical neglect that he suffers , aggravating his already deteriorated state of health after being placed in an isolation cell.
“Given the serious situation in which he faces, we hold the Moroccan State and the authorities of the General Prison Administration responsible for the physical and psychological damage to the health of Mohamed Lamín Haddi, who continues to suffer constant mental torture and retaliatory measures, ”warned the activist's mother.
