The President of Angola receives Saharawi Foreign Affairs Minister and President's Personal Envoy

Luanda (Angola) 2 February 2020 (SPS) - The President of the Republic of Angola, Mr. João Lourenço, received Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Saharawi Minister of Foreign Affairs and Personal Envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghaly,  today at the presidential headquarters in the Angolan capital, Luanda.
The Envoy of the Saharawi President informed the Angolan President about the Sahrawi People's Army resumption of war in response to the Moroccan new aggression against the Saharawi Republic, and the consensus and determination of the Sahrawi people to continue their struggle to end the Moroccan illegal occupation.
The meeting also tackled the historical and distinguished bilateral relations that bind the two peoples since the joint struggle against the Spanish and Portuguese colonialists, stressing the two presidents' will to develop them to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly Saharawi and Angolan peoples.
Were also present to the reception from the Angolan side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Antonio Tete, and the diplomatic advisor at the Presidency, Mr. Victor Lima, while the Saharawi Minister was accompanied by, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Aghay, Chargé d'Affaires in Angola .. (SPS)
