Brazil, October 13, 2020 (SPS) - the Brazilian Center for Solidarity with the Peoples and Struggle for Peace (Cebrapaz) celebrated with the Sahrawi people, led by the brave Frente POLISARIO, the 45th anniversary of the consolidation of national unity in its strategy of liberation from colonialism.
“The courageous decision of the Saharawi people to adopt the maximum vision of realization of their self-determination, embodied in the formation of the Frente POLISARIO and endorsed through the affirmation of national unity in this framework, organizing the fight for their independence from Spain and , then, of Morocco, which until today occupies their homeland and prevents their liberation. But not for much longer ”highlighted the Brazilian Solidarity Center in its statement issued on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Saharawi national unity.
In the same context, the Brazilian Center highlighted the growth, in number and commitment, of the international movement of solidarity with the Saharawi people in their just struggle, in contrast to the unacceptable and condemned prolongation of the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara.
“Let us join the Sahrawi people and the solidarity forces from around the world in the demand for decisive and responsible action by the United Nations, guardian of this still incomplete decolonization process”added the statement.
"At this time of aggravated challenges and undoubted seriousness of the situation of the peoples in struggle for liberation, we are at the side of the Sahrawi people demanding nothing less than the immediate implementation of their unrestricted right to self-determination, without conditions," concluded the Brazilian Center in your release.
