Boujdour (Refugee Camps),  20 June 2020 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, said the Polisario Front can no longer accept the current stalemate of the decolonization process in Western Sahara, condemning Morocco's obstacles.
"Concerning the decolonization process in Western Sahara, the Frente Polisario Front cannot accept the current stalemate," said a statement released at the end of a meeting of the Front's Permanent Office, chaired by President Brahim Ghali.
The meeting chaired by the Saharawi leader condemned "Morocco's obstruction and intransigence, with support of France, and the failure to comply with the solution criteria specified in the AU-UN solution plan, signed by the parties to the conflict, namely the Polisario Front and Morocco, and ratified by the Security Council in 1991."
The meeting's agenda, according to the statement, focused on "summer programmes, the situation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and the humanitarian situation in Saharawi refugee camps, in the light of the reports presented by the monitoring committee of the Covid-19 and the effects of the pandemic in the region."
