Shaheed El- Hafed, 17 May 2020 (SPS) - The Ministry of Occupied Land and the Sahrawi Diaspora said that the abuse and methods of torture practiced by the colonial authorities on Sahrawi prisoner Mahfouda Lefkir Bamba had in no way deterred her from continuing his decisive struggle, noting that the activist has etched her name in the history of the resistance.
The Ministry of Occupied Land and Sahrawi Diaspora made this statement following the release, on Friday, by the Moroccan occupation authorities of Sahrawi prisoner Mahfouda Lefkir Bamba after serving an iniquitous sentence of 6 months imprisonment in the "Carcel Negra" (Black Prison) of occupied El-Aaiun.
"Mahfouda Bamba Lefkir left the prison. Neither mistreatment nor the methods of psychological and physical torture have deterred the heroine from giving up her positions despite attempts by the Moroccan occupation authorities to break her determination, by which she set an example among many other Sahrawi women, a symbol of self-sacrifice and patience," the ministry said in a statement.
"After a 6-month prison, the Moroccan occupation authorities released the Intifada activist and one of the activists of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Sakia El Hamra and Oued Eddahab," added the same source. (SPS)
