Cuba Foreign Minister highlights bilateral and historical friendly ties links SADR and Cuba

Havana (Cuba), March 03, 2020 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, has received Monday the Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Malainin Etkana, to whom he expressed the satisfaction for the relations that unite the two peoples and government.
"We note with satisfaction the strengthening of the bilateral ties and the historical relations of friendship that unite us," said Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla after receiving the Saharawi ambassador in Havana.
Malainin Etkana, who will soon complete his mission as an extraordinary plenipotentiary ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic to the Republic of Cuba, has transferred to the chancellor the gratitude of the Saharawi people and Government for the firm and historic solidarity with the struggle for the total independence of the SADR
The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) has also joined in the activities held to dismiss the Saharawi diplomat and recognize his work in strengthening the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two peoples.
On January 21, 1980, diplomatic relations were established between Cuba and SADR. During these 40 years both countries have maintained excellent ties of cooperation, solidarity and brotherhood.
