Sahrawi Republic calls on Comoros to reverse its decision of opening consular representation in occupied Western Sahara

Bir-Lahlou, 22 December 2019 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic has considered the decision of the Comoros to open a consulate representation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara as an aggression against its sovereignty and a flagrant violation of all international instruments, calling on it to reverse its illegal and unethical decision.
"The Sahrawi Republic considers the decision of the Comoros to open a consulate representation in the occupied territories of our country as an aggression against its sovereignty and a flagrant violation of all international covenants, especially the Constitutive Act of the African Union," said a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The Sahrawi Republic calls on the Republic of the Comoros to refrain from its illegal and unethical decision, which itself still fighting for its sovereignty over its entire national territory, and the Sahrawi Republic will take the necessary steps to defend its sovereignty," added the statement.
