Ausered, Oct 17, 2019 (SPS) - The 15th edition of the Western Sahara International Film Festival kicked off yesterday in the Wilaya of Ausserd, in the presence of members of the National Secretariat, the government, foreign solidarity, artists and a large audience from the camps of Ausserd.
The current edition, held under the theme "International Film Festival calls for an immediate cessation of repression in Western Sahara," was launched by the Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Wali Akeik.
The Governor of Ausserd, Mariam Salek Hammada, in her welcoming speech confirmed the state's readiness to make this edition of the festival a success, wishing a happy stay to all guests of the Sahrawi people.
The festival will last for three days, during which the audience will follow different films, the majority of which will talk about the reality of the Sahrawi people and their suffering, in addition to artistic paragraphs and exhibitions that reflect the culture of the Sahrawi people. SPS
