Start of negotiation between Frente POLISARIO and Morocco

Geneva, Switzerland, Dec 05 2018 (SPS) - The first round of negotiation between the parties to the conflict in Western Sahara, the Frente POLISARIO and Morocco starts at the UN Palace in Geneva, Switzerland, in the presence of neighboring countries Algeria and Mauritania.
The negotiation are expected to last through the evening, where Secretary-General's Special Envoy Horst Koehler will review recent developments in his efforts to launch direct negotiations between the two sides under the auspices of the United Nations.
the evening meetings will focus on three main themes, the recent developments in the process of decolonization of Western Sahara since the cessation of the negotiating process and the discussion of some regional issues that affect in one way or another the countries concerned with the conflict, including the Sahrawi Republic and the next steps to activate the political process between the parties to the conflict.SPS
