Polisario front will counter any attempt by Morocco to change reality in liberated territories, says Emhamed Khaddad

Shaheed El-Hafed, April 2, 2018 (SPS) - Coordinator with MINURSO, Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Emhamad Khaddad, has confirmed the readiness of the Polisario Front to confront any attempt by Morocco to alter the status quo in the liberated territories of Western Sahara.
In a statement to the national media, commenting on the series of statements and threats made following the meetings of the defense and foreign affairs committees of the Moroccan parliament, Mr. Khaddad pointed out that “the Polisario Front is in the utmost readiness to respond to any Moroccan move to undermine or change the status quo in the liberated territories,” stressing that “the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army will confront any attempt by the Moroccan army.”
At the same time, he reiterated the commitment of Polisario Front to the Military Agreement No. 1, and all military agreements governing the cease-fire, as well as the serious support to the UN Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy in their efforts for a just and lasting peaceful solution that provides for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination.
He also underlined that “the Moroccan occupier today has no choice but to submit to international legitimacy and international law, because any attempt to obstruct peaceful endeavors will put it again in a confrontation with the United Nations, and any attempt to change the status quo will be countered by the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army.”
“The strength of the Sahrawi situation, the solidity of the African position, the decisions of the European Court, the directives of the UN Secretary-General and the seriousness of the Personal Envoy in implementing the resolutions of the United Nations and pushing for a solution clearly defined in Security Council resolution 2353, affirming the Saharawi people's right to decolonization and self-determination, besieged the Moroccan occupier and made it desperate to evade its obligations and ride baseless allegations and create a halo of mobs whose main goal is to turn the attention of the Moroccan internal opinion from the series of successive defeats it received because of its occupation of Western Sahara,” added Mr. Khaddad.
