Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), March 12, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, reaffirmed that the Sahrawi people are ready for the armed struggle to regain sovereignty over all their territories, calling on the international community to speed up the implementation of the resolution 2351 of the United Nations Security Council.
The Polisario Front made note of the current developments at the level of the United Nations and efforts of UN envoy Horst Kohler for the relaunch of direct negotiations process between the two parties to the conflict, Morocco and Polisario Front, said the President  of the Republic who made a speech at the wrap up of the meeting of secretaries and commissars of the Polisario Front in the liberated territories.
He called on the international community to speed up the implementation of the resolution 2351 of the Security Council, underlining that it was adopted in April 2017 following the Sahrawi people’s strong mobilization in response to the violation by Morocco of the ceasefire in the buffer zone of El Guerguerate. A mobilization that showed that “the Sahrawi people are ready to the armed struggle” to impose their national choices, he pointed out.
The President of the Republic reaffirmed the Polisario Front’s determination to “continue the struggle of liberation until the recovery by SADR of its sovereignty over all its national territory.”
He said that the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) made on 27 February 2018 was “a bitter defeat to the enemy and its plans,” underlining that this decision lays new bridges in Europe and elsewhere for further achievements that should “preserve the unwavering right of our people to self-determination and national sovereignty over their natural resources.” (SPS)
